# fast, reliable, top features |
BlueHost is active in the web
hosting business for a long time now and is one of the best known companies around. They
claim that they host more than
a million domains now! We think that that is quite possible since we get a
lot of feedback from our website visitors.
What users think about BlueHost ?
Ive been hosting three websites with BlueHost
for almost a year now, and have had an overall positive experience with them. I cant
recall any downtime. Out of
all the hosting companies Ive tried, Ive experienced the most
uptime with BlueHost. Customer service is great. Ive only had to call a few times,
but it was
enough for me to be impressed with tech support. My calls were answered by
an actual person and not a computer, unlike some other hosting providers.
I definitely recommend BlueHost to anybody who wants hosting for a small to
medium-sized website.

# fast, reliable, good support |
Hostmonster is a sister
company of BlueHost and is also
active in the web hosting business for quit a long time now and is a well know company.
They claim that they host almost 450.000 domains.
Most comments we receive about Hostmonster are positive and often very
positive. They deliver affordable web hosting in combination with a great support
and lots of free options. Together with BlueHost they took care that their
business runs as smoothly as possible.
What
do users think of HostMonster ?
What I love about HostMonster.com is the control
panel. It has tons of utilities and tools for any type of customization. Although it took
some getting used to,
I didnt have any real trouble with anything. The tutorials were very
helpful. Ive only been with HostMonster for a few months now, but so far Im
impressed with
the uptime. I can only remember one instance when my site was down for about
twenty minutes. Overall, I find this to be a great webhost, and I recommend it
for anyone who is looking for a variety of customization options at a low
price.

# fast, reliable host |
FastDomain is a relatively new
web hosting company. They are, however, a sister company of BlueHost which is in this
business for 15 years now.
That experience has helped to make FastDomain a great and professional web
hosting provider.
What do users think of FastDomain ?
FastDomain.com is the best webhost PERIOD!
What really makes it great, in my opinion, is that it allows unlimited add-on
domains and subdomains. As a web developer, this is extremely important to me.
Other hosting companies promise this as well, but most of them dont
deliver as promised.
Another thing I like is the hosting for my mailing list. I was able to set
everything up easily. The form-mail script works great, and its very easy for my
members
to subscribe and unsubscribe to my list. Im also thinking about
starting a message forum, for which FastDomain also offers hosting and support. Overall I
have
to say this is the best hosting provider Ive ever tried and
Ive tried a number of them over the years!

JustHost is one of the cheapest
webhosts in our top10. Is it "to good to be true" deal or do we recommend them
to you?
What do users think of JustHost ?
Ive had a few issues with JustHost since I
signed up last spring, but overall my experience has been a positive one. I just run a
personal site, so I cant
comment on the eCommerce features. All I can say is that JustHost has
provided me with great service ever since I signed up. So far, I havent had any
downtime, and the server hasnt ever been slow. Im getting ready
to start a second website, and I know Ill be using JustHost!

quality hosting |
HostGator was formed in 2002 and
rapidly became one of the best web hosting companies. There were know for their high
quality web hosting, but the last
months we've got a lot of complains from our website-visitors. Unfriendly
supportdesk people, downtimes and other problems. Therefor we have tested
Hostgator even more thoroughly then the other top 10 companies.
What do users think of HostGator ?
Ive been using HostGator for a couple of years
now and Ive had no problems at all. There have been some minor issues here and there
but they were easy to
fix. Ive tried a few other companies before choosing HostGator, and
Im glad I decided to give HG a chance! I only pay $7.95 a month for my plan and I
get
unlimited domain names, unlimited space, and unlimited bandwidth! A lot of
companies promise unlimited everything for their shared hosting plans, but
HostGator is one that truly keeps its word. I recommend this hosting company
to everybody beginners, bloggers, businesses, web developers, etc.

good, cheap hosting |
IX Web Hosting has been
active in the web hosting scene for over 10 years now. They offer first class hosting for
your website(s) and the prices are low.
Their own datacenter is located in Hopkinsville (Kentucky, USA).
What do users think of IX Web Hosting ?
IXWebHosting.com is nice and affordable. All in all, I
say that it offers good value for my money. I run my forum and blog with it, and neither
have experienced
any downtime in the past three months. I dont get a whole lot of
traffic, so I dont know whether or not IXWebHosting would be ideal for blogs and
forums a lot
busier than mine. I just know that Im impressed with the speed and
reliability that I get from IXWebHosting.
Also, everything was very easy to install. The scripts for my site and blog were
installed in a matter of seconds! I didnt have any problems with anything, even
though Im not very knowledgeable about such things. As for customer
support, I only had to get a hold of them once and they responded quickly!
They were also very friendly.

Why Do I Need Web Hosting?
The only type of ad more prevalent today than
increase-your-manhood SPAM is that of web hosting solutions. Undoubtedly, you have
heard of the web hosting option and may have actually considered signing up with a web
hosting company. Are there any strong advantages to doing so? First understand
the basic difference between web hosting and simply uploading a website.
Every company or individual trying to make money should have a website. A website
is a general term that refers to a collection of web files, including HTML pages,
graphics, sounds and other programming. These files are uploaded to a computer
connected to the Internet and can be accessed by typing in a URL address. You may be
offered free web space to upload your website, but this type of service usually
doesnt offer read more...
Why Would I Need a Windows Host?
About now you are probably considering what kind of web
hosting company you should work with. You may have already familiarized yourself with
popular web hosting features as well as tips on how to go about transferring your website
to another web hosting company. Now its time to consider what type of host you
should use.
The answer to this question can be found by exploring the individual features you hope to
utilize for your website. Do you want your own dedicated server or would you be willing to
share a server with others? Will you have a database running? (Databases are required for
special applications like guest books or other forms, shopping carts and discussion
forums. You also have to consider if you have the right to program and install your own
applications or if your provider has pre-installed applications and scripts that they use.
Some webmasters have difficulty working with provided applications and programs, as they
may be limited in some respects. read more...
Checklist to
Choosing a Web Host
Are you considering choosing a new web host for your
existing website or are you venturing into your first web project ever? In either case,
there are some important points to keep in mind. The best way to organize them is by way
of checklist. This way, you can check off each point as you confirm it. It may sound like
a simplistic and unnecessary approach, but such over-preparation can prevent disputes with
your future web hosting provider and save you a lot of time and money in the process.
[ ] Bandwidth
Have you verified that the host provider can guarantee a
certain amount of bandwidth per month? More importantly, is your total bandwidth adequate
for your targeted audience? If you purchase a plan with too many gigabytes of bandwidth
you may be paying too much money for accommodations you will never use. On the other hand,
if you plan to have a large amount of video or audio content then you will need much more
bandwidth per month, perhaps well over 35 gigabytes. For the best results, try and compare
your gigabyte maximum to your estimated visitors. A few hundred can be accommodated by 10
but thousands of visitors might best be served by 40 and over. read

Choosing the
Right Domain Name
How important is a web domain name when it comes to success
in business? It is said that there are over 20 million domain names currently registered
online. Therefore, it can be a challenge to come up with a simple yet original name that
hasnt already been taken. The name you choose will be directly related to how
successful you are in e-commerce.
Remember that in general simple domain names are best to use in marketing. Your web
audience moves fast and wants a domain name thats easy to recall and easy to search
for. Long domain names, even if they are clever, tend to be more confusing or at the very
least, wearisome to type. read more...
Web Hosting Bandwidth Explained
Are you looking to start your own website but are confused
over the issue of web hosting bandwidth? Fear not, you dont need the mind of Al Gore
to understand the Internet. Lets break down what bandwidth means and how much you
really need.
Bandwidth refers to the amount of traffic between your website and the rest of the
Internet that your provider allows. Obviously, if things were so simple there would be no
restrictions on bandwidth. However, your provider will only be able to offer you as much
bandwidth as allowed by their own network connections. The Internet is not a godlike being
with unlimited omniscience. Rather, it refers to the connection of millions of individual
computers that are connected by networks. These individual connections may be large or
small, depending on each users equipment. However large or small your
providers connections are will ultimately determine how much bandwidth is available
to the user for his or her future Web project. The provider must have enough bandwidth to
serve your needs while also serving the rest of their clients. read

Is Cheap Web Hosting Actually Cheaper?
Have you ever heard the expression you get what you pay for? Why no, you were
raised by wolves and have only recently come to learn the greatest clichés of human
civilization! Nevertheless, the philosophy behind that old clich?is still valid: if you
buy cheap you will get cheap. If you accept something for free, you cant really
complain.
The same is true when it comes to cheap web hosting. Your first thought is probably
something along the lines of why pay for web hosting when so many companies are
giving away services for free? You cannot totally discount the idea of free
webhosting. For some individuals, and even some small companies, a simple web hosting
package may be suitable. Because these companies have no money to invest in superior web
hosting services, they are content with free or cheap hosting. Then again, some of the
best features of pay web hosting are not that important to them. read

The Importance of Having a
Reliable Web Hosting
Just how important is it to have reliable web hosting? Every web
service claims to be reliable, but some stress the promise more than others. Usually only
pay services claim to have high uptimes, up to 99% total availability. You may be
wondering whether its worth investing in higher caliber web hosting services for
this supposed reliability or if the cheaper websites will perform just as
well. First consider why it is important that your web hosting service be reliable.
Capturing the interest of your customer is paramount and may mean the difference between a
loss and a sale. The failure to provide a reliable website that is easy to access
throughout the day and night could whether a potential customer keeps returning to your
site or never thinks of your name again. The mindset of the average customer is impulsive
and demanding. He wants business right now and if youre not there to completely
accommodate him, he will find another merchant to do business with. Money is the
motivation here and if you cannot sustain the interest of your visitors, you are well on
your way to losing money. read more...
Tips in Transferring to a New Web
Host
Have you ever thought about transferring your existing website to a new web host?
It can be done and may actually be the best move for you, if you discover that the new
host offers some strong advantages over the former provider. Even so, sometimes making the
big move can be time consuming, tedious and perhaps even costly. This may be
enough to scare some users into just staying with their current web host, even if they are
very unhappy.
However, the big move doesnt have to be such a stressful experience. If you do your
homework, as regards researching the new company and learning how to transfer your website
quickly, then you should be able to move all of your files in a timely manner. The first
step is to decide on a new service that you will be happy with, and one that you will not
be looking to leave in another months time. (Going back and forth between different
web hosting providers in a short period of time is an expensively bad idea!) Start your
project by making a list of all the features you need at the present and perhaps may need
in the future. Research the company to ensure that they will have the most important
features available. read
